K2 Pico FlexAR

Input & Output Devices

The K2 FlexAR series Input and Output modules provide solutions to many common interface issues faced by OEM integrators. We have designed a small but powerful set of tools to solve many of these interface problems. The IO devices provide solutions optimised for ultra-low power consumption and at minimal cost. Interfacing to external inputs or controlling outputs no longer needs to be a complex integration issue. With our simple “plug and play” architecture, control solutions have never been easier.

K2 Pico LED Driver

The K2 Pico LED Driver module is a versatile product capable of driving 2+1/2 digit 7 segment displays. The segment drive MOSFET’s can sink up to 0.5A per channel (per segment) allowing a wide variety of character sizes to be created. It has 4 additional high current PWM channels offering 2A per channel for Auxiliary message signs.

Key Features

  • 15 drive channels for segment control of 2 digit or 2 + 1/2 digit signs.
  • 500mA sink current per segment.
  • 4PWM channels with 2A per channel drive capability.
  • Available in two connector formats. Pin sockets for direct PCB mounting or pin headers for cabled solutions.
Typical Applications

  • 7 Segment LED drive and Auxiliary sign drive.

K2 Pico High Current IO

The K2 Pico HI_IO module is designed with 6 digital inputs and 5 high current LED Drive outputs. Primarily designed for driving larger LED string arrays in static signs the outputs can sink peak pulse currents as high as 15Amps with continuous rating of 5 Amps. Fully programmable outputs allow independent channel modulation (PWM) or simple ON/OFF control.

Key Features

  • 6 digital inputs.
  • 5Amps sink current per segment.
  • 5 PWM high current outputs.
  • Available in two connector formats. Pin sockets for direct PCB mounting or pin headers for cabled solutions.
Typical Applications

  • Interfacing to external equipment and driving large fixed message LED signs.

K2 Pico IO

The K2 Pico IO module has 4 digital inputs and 3 OPTO isolated MOSFET drivers for switching AC/DC loads. The versatility of this module allows many complex system integration issues to be resolved with minimal effort.

Key Features

  • 4 digital inputs.
  • 3 OPTO isolated outputs for AC or DC switching control.
  • Available in two connector formats. Pin sockets for direct PCB mounting or pin headers for cabled solutions.
Typical Applications

  • Interface to switch inputs and auxiliary device control, PLC interfacing.
